There’s something special about a couples session that feels less like a photoshoot and more like an evening spent enjoying each other—and Mary and Hunter’s session at Bluemont Vineyard was exactly that.
With their adorable Golden Retriever, Navy, along for the evening, we explored the beautiful property, took in the mountain views, and captured plenty of laughter along the way.
One of our favorite spots was the beautiful staircase lined with blooming hydrangeas. It created the perfect backdrop for romantic portraits, while the gorgeous Virginia scenery gave us plenty of opportunities to capture the two of them simply enjoying the evening together.
And then there were the unexpected moments—like planes flying overhead—that made the session feel even more memorable. ✈️
From the quiet moments to the laughter and, of course, all the sweet Navy moments, this session was full of everything we love about couples photography: genuine connection, beautiful surroundings, and memories that feel like them.
