Joey knows how much I’ve always wanted to capture a wedding in the 30A area of Florida, so he surprised me by booking us for a wedding expo nearby and turning it into a mini adventure! We made the most of the trip and explored several spots I’ve been dreaming of photographing for years.
Our journey began at the stunning Swan House in Georgia, with its classic architecture and timeless charm.
From there, we headed to Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, WaterColor, and Seaside along 30A — each spot more beautiful than I imagined. It was a short trip but packed with exploration, inspiration, and plenty of memories along the way. To top it all off, we had dinner at the Havana Beach Rooftop, located at The Pearl in Rosemary Beach. This luxury hotel and spa offers stunning beachfront views of the Gulf, and the rooftop was the perfect way to unwind and soak in the beauty of South Walton. The sunset over the water was the ideal complement to our adventurous day, giving us a moment to pause, reflect, and just enjoy the coastal vibes.
The drive was long, but completely worth it, and a big thanks to my in-laws for helping watch our daughter so we could make this adventure happen. Experiences like these remind me why I love photography — not just capturing weddings and portraits, but finding inspiration in beautiful locations and dreaming about the couples and stories I’ll get to photograph there one day. Hopefully, one day soon, Joey and I will return to capture a couple’s wedding along the dreamy shores of 30A.
